To prepare for the ASCE Regional Competition, the team must design and construct a concrete canoe. Judging will be based on four criteria: design paper, oral presentation, final product, and racing.

 

Throughout the academic, year the team will spend countless hours experimenting with different concrete mix designs in order to produce a mixture that is light and structurally stable. Additionally, the team will work on analyzing different structural designs to find a design that will produce a fast and aesthetically pleasing canoe. In the spring semester, the team will begin constructing the canoe that was designed during the fall semester. ​
